Walker Evans is one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century and best known for his work for documenting the effects of the Great Depression. To best portray Evan’s classic black and white photos, I experimented using very desaturated hues of teal through the color scheme which nicely complimented his photos while also adding visual interest throughout.
Composition Comparison
“Characteristic of his working style, Evans took many photographs of his selected subjects, approaching from different angles or using different cameras. The variations between the shots can be sometimes appear subtle.” I wanted to make sure the interface and experience would help the viewer understand and appreciate the subtle differences.
